Hello, I’m Pete Dulin, author of four books about food, drink, and Kansas City history and an experienced writer for print and online media. My most recent book is Expedition of Thirst: Exploring Breweries, Distilleries and Wineries Across Central Kansas and Missouri.

Barons, Brewers, and Bootleggers: A Social History of Beer in Missouri (University of Missouri Press, Fall 2025) is my current work in progress.

I was selected for the inaugural 2022 Critical Writing Initiative workshop sponsored by the Kansas Creative Arts and Industries Commission. 

In 2023, I was awarded a North American Guild of Beer Writers’ Diversity in Beer Writing Grant.

Published by The New Territory in 2024, my Literary Landscapes essay about Miriam Davis Colt and the Vegetarian Settlement Company was nominated for Best of The Net.
